Dataset
To provide public access to water-related databases and electronic records that support water resource monitoring, management, regulation, and planning across the state of Nevada.
The data portal functions as a centralized system where hydrologic information, water rights records, well drilling reports, monitoring systems, and water use inventories are maintained and made available electronically.
The portal contains hydrologic monitoring data such as precipitation, stream flow, spring flow, and groundwater level data. It also includes hydrologic models, annual water use inventories, pumpage reports, crop and irrigation inventories, well driller reports (well logs), GIS mapping tools, and water rights-related records. Some databases, such as the Meters Database for water-right owners, have restricted access.
Data is collected through hydrologic monitoring stations, field measurements, permit-holder reporting, annual basin-level water use assessments, well drilling reports submitted by licensed drillers, and hydrologic modelling developed internally or with partner organizations.
