Dataset
To provide access to wastewater surveillance data that tracks community-level infectious disease trends across Ohio through monitoring of pathogen concentrations in wastewater.
The portal is maintained by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and is published through DataOhio, the State of Ohio's centralized open data platform. It serves as a repository for wastewater monitoring information collected through Ohio's Wastewater Monitoring Network
This dataset contains information about the participating wastewater treatment plants in the Ohio Wastewater Monitoring Network, and current trends and levels of monitored infectious disease targets in wastewater at the statewide and individual sewershed level. Hover on a site location name or dot on the map to see a snapshot of current disease trends for that sewershed. Click on a facility name or dot to see concentration levels for that location and populate the figures below the map.
The portal aggregates wastewater monitoring information collected through the Ohio Wastewater Monitoring Network. Samples are collected from participating wastewater monitoring sites and analyzed to measure indicators of disease activity within communities. The resulting laboratory data are compiled, standardized, and published through the DataOhio platform, where users can visualize trends, explore the data interactively, share results, and export datasets for further analysis.
