Dataset
A global map of travel time to cities to assess inequalities in accessibility in 2015.
Advancing accessibility worldwide underpins the equity agenda of ‘leaving no one behind’ established by the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations
The map quantifies travel time to cities at a spatial resolution of approximately 1kmX1km. It intigrates ten global-scale surfaces that characterize factors affecting human movement rates and 13,840 high-density urban centres within an established geospatial-modelling framework.
The dataset was created by the Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) with travel time in minutes at a 30 arc second spatial resolution (approximately 1 km at the equator).
